Water Management Analysis of Reservoir Storage Capacity Due to Climate Change

The aim of this work is a water management solution of the storage volume of the Vlachovice reservoir in the conditions of climate change. Due to the long-term drought and flood period, the Czech Republic decided to build multi-purpose reservoirs. One of them is the multi-purpose water reservoir Vlachovice. The tanks are designed for a certain storage volume, which is calculated from the flow series in a given water profile. Flows on watercourses are conditioned by climatic and geomorphological conditions. Climatic conditions are constantly changing and significantly affect flows. It is difficult to determine the future of water flows. Future flows are generated based on measured values ??and expected climate change using mathematical models. In this work, just these two scenarios of the future of flow series depending on the amount of precipitation and temperature changes are compared.

Effect of altitude on intra-annual growth of trees in the treeline ecotone

RESUMÉ Tato práce se zabývá vlivem teplotních poměrů na intra-anuální růst smrku ztepitélo (Picea Abies (L.) Karsten) na alpínské hranici lesa v Krkonoších ve vegetačních sezónách 2011 a 2012. Monitoring probíhal na dvou lokalitách na jižním svahu Luční hory. První lokalita se nacházela v nadmořské výšce 1310 m n. m., přibližně na horní hranici zapojeného lesa, druhá pak v nadmořské výšce 1450 m n. m., ve stromových skupinkách nad horní hranicí lesa. Mezi lokalitami byl pozorován poměrně vysoký vertikální teplotní gradient jak u teplot vzduchu (1,2 - 1,7 řC), tak u teplot půdy v hloubce 10 cm (0,8 - 1,2 řC). Teplotní rozdíl mezi lokalitami se pak projevil v nižším pozorovaném přírůstu na výše položené lokalitě. Pozorované počátky kambiální aktivity se pohybovaly od 26. 4. do 21. 5. Začátek kambiální aktivity je ovlivněn množstvím sněhové pokrývky akumulované na lokalitách v průběhu zimy a s tím souvisejícím datem jejího odtátí, teplotami půdy a teplotami v přízemní vrstvě atmosféry. Délka kambiální aktivity se pohybovala mezi 55 - 77 dny, přičemž její délka byla nižší na výše položené lokalitě. Diferenciace buněk nastala bezprostředně po počátku kambiální aktivity a trvala od 111 do 132 dní. Increase of annual and seasonal air temperatures in the Czech Republic during 1961-2010

Using the monthly means of air temperatures at 267 stations in the Czech Republic, the long-term change has been estimated at each station for the last 50 years. Annual mean temperatures for the whole country show a considerable increase, more pronounced than that for global temperature, however, supplemented by strong fluctuations from year to year. Long-term changes in air temperatures at different stations and in different regions vary. Stronger increase in air temperatures can be seen in Bohemia, whereas in Moravia temperature increase is not so significant. This difference is more pronounced in the winter, whereas in the summer, the differences are smaller and perhaps of opposite nature. This means that the continentality of the climate in Moravia increases, while in Bohemia it very slightly decreases. Long-term changes depend only marginally on the absolute values of annual mean temperatures at the respective station. The increase of autumn temperatures is considerably lower than that of other seasons.
The increase of average air temperatures observed on station net in Germany during the last 17 years

Air temperatures increase systematically since the middle of the 19th century and this increase becomes more rapid in the last decades.. In this paper data from 17 stations regularly distributed on the German territory have been used. The increase is more rapid in winter and autumn than in summer and spring.The temperatures incerase also more rapidly on stations lin higher latitudes and nearer to the ocean.
Analysis of Temperature Time Series Measured by Stations Praha - Ruzyně and Brno - Tuřany between 1999 and 2008

This thesis is focused on analyzing time series of monthly average air temperatures measured at 7 AM, 2 PM and 9 PM, by climatological stations Brno - Tuřany and Praha - Ruzyně. The objective of this thesis is to employ basic time series analysis methods and to apply statistical software, concretely SPSS Statistics 17.0 and Statgraphics Centurion XVI. It deals especially with calculation of basic characteristics, time series decomposition (classical model) and description of their trend and seasonal component. This thesis examines if there is any resemblance in the progress of the series, which were measured by the same station at different times or at the same time by different stations. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part, there is a theoretical description of time series analysis methods and the analysis itself is in the second part.
